The Samba boys have been tipped to win the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar. The team went unbeaten for three years, from 1993 to 1996, winning the World Cup in 1994, which was hosted by the United States of America.

Gabriel Jesus reveals the reason for his phone call trademark celebration

When Gabriel Jesus moved to the Premier League from Palmeiras in 2017, he invented his own style of celebration. The striker would then scurry away in celebration after scoring a goal for Manchester City, placing his hands on his ears as if he were making or receiving a phone call.

The style became synonymous with him, and he still employs it at Arsenal five years later. Following City's acquisition of Erling Haaland, he moved to London to join Mikel Arteta after winning four Premier League titles in Manchester.

Jesus revealed to the Players Tribune in 2017 that the celebration was always a tribute to his mother. As a single parent, Jesus' mother was instrumental in raising him and his siblings. His mother was adamant about keeping him in between school and his football career.

My mother calls me whenever I score for Manchester City. As soon as the ball hits the back of the net, the phone rings.

It makes no difference whether she is in Brazil or in the stadium watching me. She always calls me. So I dash to the corner flag, place my hand to my ear, and exclaim, "Alo Mae! ”

Jesus has made an immediate impact in London, scoring four goals and assisting three times in the first seven games of the season. Arsenal currently leads the Premier League standings.
