Right after the Ghana Football Association release a press statement of holding or suspending league matches, the national sports authority has also done same below is their press release
NATIONAL SPORTS AUTHORITY
CLOSURE OF STATE-OWNED STADIA TO GPL MATCHES
Management of the National Sports Authority (NSA) wishes to inform the general public, especially. Ghana Premier League Clubs, that all match venues under the auspices of the Authority are closed for the 2022/2023 betPawa Premier League until further notice.
This decision follows the suspension of the Premier league by Ghana Football Association over a Motion on Notice for injunction filed at the Human Rights High Court by Ashanti Gold SC.
The Authority abides by this order of the High Court, as such, all matches and activities in relation to the betPawa Premier league are suspended in all our facilities.
We, at the Authority are quite disturbed by this unfortunate development considering the huge investment that government, private entities and other stakeholders have made to support the league.
This disruption has consequential losses to the Authority, Stakeholders and Football Loving Ghanaians and we therefore entreat the Ghana Football Association to expedite action to address this impasse for the resumption of the Premier League.
