Virgil van Dijk discusses how Liverpool will get out of their rut for an essential run.

Liverpool's defense was at breaking point in the 3-3 draw with Brighton, and Virgil van Dijk insists that every player, regardless of position, must accept responsibility.
Virgil van Dijk has urged Liverpool not to panic as they face four crucial games this season.

The Reds looked shambolic at times in a wild 3-3 draw with Brighton, raising fears that their season could be over before it has even begun. They face two games against Rangers with the knowledge that anything less than a win could be fatal to their Champions League hopes, while they realistically need to beat Arsenal and Manchester City in their next two Premier League games to stay in the title race.

It is a tall order, but Van Dijk is adamant that they will succeed. "Obviously, we've had some setbacks, and it's difficult to react appropriately if you're not in peak physical condition."

"However, I'm confident that we will. What happened, four months ago we were competing for every title? We are not at our best right now, but we will get there.

"I'm confident, I'm confident that we'll be able to turn this around." We need to find that moment, and we know we have some difficult games ahead of us. Rangers will play in the Champions League, followed by Arsenal, Rangers, and City.

The solution, according to van Dijk, is to react as a team. While they were exposed defensively against Brighton, the attack worked as a unit, which needs to be replicated all over the field.

"We all know we have the obligation of defending, but also attacking," the Dutchman added. Our principles state that defending begins at the front and attacking begins at the back. And we must return to that, to that consistency.

"We need to re-establish that consistency and play with joy and freedom." But it all starts with working hard and doing it together. I keep repeating myself, but we have to find that moment."
