LEWANDOWSKI TELLS BARCELONA TO BUY ‘EXTRAORDINARY’ ACE AFTER WEST HAM BID
According to TuttoSport, Robert Lewandowski is urging La Liga leaders Barcelona to make a move for Jakub Kiwior after West Ham United failed to lure Spezia's Poland international to the Premier League.
Xavi Hernandez has arguably the most attacking diamonds at his disposal of any manager on the planet. As an example, neither Ferran Torres, Ansu Fati, nor Memphis Depay are guaranteed starting spots these days, whereas Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was permitted to join Chelsea on deadline day.At the other end of the field, however, Barcelona's somewhat lopsided, front-loaded squad is not quite as intimidating.
Will Barcelona heed Lewandowski's advice and sign Jakub Kiwior?
Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen's abilities continue to be questioned. Gerard Pique is no longer the unstoppable force he once was. Ronald Araujo, arguably the club's best center-half, will now miss the rest of 2022, as well as the Qatar World Cup, after undergoing thigh surgery. But Lewandowski clearly believes he has a solution to Barcelona's defensive problems.
"Oh, Lord, pay attention: this is a real player!" Lewandowski glowed last week, singling out Kiwor for praise after the 22-year-eye-catching old's performance in the 1-0 UEFA Nations League victory over Wales.
"I noticed this during the pre-game warm-up against the Netherlands" (a 2-0 defeat last week). 'But who is he?' I queried. Then I noticed him in the game. Extraordinary. "Extremely promising."Tuttosport reports that Lewandowski hopes to persuade Barcelona to bring his £14 million-rated compatriot to the Camp Nou in the new year. In August, West Ham failed with a £10 million bid. Neither Kiwior nor Spezia were enthusiastic about the move (TMW).
As things stand, it appears unlikely that West Ham will return to the negotiating table. Instead, David Moyes' side signed Thilo Kehrer from Paris Saint-Germain. Furthermore, Craig Dawson and Kurt Zouma were outstanding in Saturday's 2-0 win over Wolves, which cost Bruno Lage his job at Molineux.
Nayef Aguerd is also expected to return from injury.

Chelsea considering making transfer to replace struggling duo
Chelsea are rumored to be looking for a new goalkeeper as Graham Potter and Todd Boehly rebuild the Blues' squad.
Chelsea breaking news, exclusives, and analysis
Despite spending over £253 million in the summer, more signings are expected at Stamford Bridge as new manager Potter reshapes the team to his liking.
Chelsea have reportedly won the race to sign star forward Christopher Nkunku and are already negotiating a deal for his RB Leipzig teammate Josko Gvardiol.According to the Telegraph, there may be a new face between the sticks as well, with both Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga's futures in doubt.
Mendy is said to have rejected a new contract extension beyond 2025, and there have been questions raised about the 30-year-recent old's form, which includes high-profile errors against Leeds and West Ham.
Meanwhile, Kepa's struggles are well-documented, having been labeled a flop following his £72 million transfer from Athletic Bilbao, the most expensive fee ever paid for a goalkeeper, and he was linked with a move away during the summer. While he has impressed in spells and received praise from Potter while Mendy has been injured, it is unclear whether the Spaniard, who turns 28 on Monday, will re-establish himself as Chelsea's No.1.
They have combined to concede 12 goals in nine games across all competitions, with only one clean sheet.
It is unknown which goalkeeper Chelsea will target if they decide a new shot-stopper is required, but given how much money Boehly has already spent, several outcast players will have to be sold first.
Attacking players like Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, and Armando Broja will undoubtedly be the first on the transfer list, especially if the rumors about Nkunku are true.
