Since, supposing that it wasn't for the misleading commitments and pretensious magnificence of that day I would have been protected

I would have been in my bed without these injuries, I would have had command over my body, I would have still been rational

I could never have feared my own shadow

I could not have possibly reviled the day I was conceived

I could not have possibly needed to slither out of my skin that had been attacked

I could never have been helpless before a beast

I could never have folded with disgrace

I could not have possibly needed to clean myself deep down trusting the vibe of his hands on my body would be washed away

I could never have needed to remember that bad dream each and every day

If not for that dammed sky that calmed me into a misguided feeling of safety

If not for the birds that sang with their annoyingly upbeat voices

I could not have possibly been broken unrecoverable.
