King Bawre a youth activist of the national democratic congress is calling on its party leadership , the national democratic congress to move away with archaic way of voting in the delegates elections. i.e constituency, regional and national elections of their party officers.
He said the old method of having one electoral college in its self breeds corruption and vote buying. He insisted that, voter buying and irregularities can never be dealt with until the ndc modernize its approach . How can you convey thousand and ten thousand of people in one room and still preach against vote buying? He questioned!
He called on the ndc to aments it laws and to impose a barricade to minimized the aspirant and voter contact on election day.
They shouldn't be any campaign on election day and aspirants may not even have access to delegates on that day not talking of even bribing them to vote for them.
The should be a clear time for aspirant to take and roam the country to campaign and after which, no aspirants will be given any opportunity to meet any delegates on the election day or at their various hotels.
He lamented that, most of this vote buying can easily be seen during the election day at the electoral college.
King Bawre who was the regional campaign coordinator for Dr sherry Ayittey disagree with that approach. He said, until the ndc use simple technological approach whereby an App is created and any delegate can sit in the comfort of his home or farm to vote for his preferred candidate the issue of moneycracy in our electoral reforms can never be defeated.
He called on the party leadership to go digitalize as they are doing on the registration of party members.
He reinterated that, failure for the ndc to adopt to this simple modern approach we will always have leaders emerging through money competence instead of brain competence.
