The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) after the latter described its effort in war unlawful mining in the usa as a scam.
Deputy Director of Communications for the New Partratic party , Ernest Kofi Owusu Bempah made a comment that the NDC’s conduct is “like the pot calling the kettle black because their track record in the galamsey menace is horrible.”
Mr. Owusu Bempah accused the NDC of enabling and festering galamsey when they kind of had the probability to pull the plug, very contrary to popular belief.
“We are talking about a party that shamelessly launched the Youth in Small Scale Mining programme in the Eastern Region, which apparently opened the floodgate for galamsey.”
