There has been a lot of talk about Rafael Leao, who has been linked to Tottenham and Chelsea, and now there are rumors that Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him.

In August 2019, AC Milan acquired Leao from Lille for €35 million (£32 million). As he adjusted to Milan's style of play and the Italian League as a whole, the left winger had a relatively slow start at the San Siro.

Leao became a key player for Milan last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists across all competitions. The Rossoneri won their first Serie A title since 2010-11 with his explosive attacks, and they also reached the Coppa Italia semi-final.

Leao has scored in four of the eight Serie A games he has played thus far, a promising start. Even though he has yet to score in the Champions League, he has also put together some impressive performances there.

The 23-year-old has been a Chelsea target for some time. By bringing Leao to Stamford Bridge, chairman and co-owner Todd Boehly wants to make a big statement.

Paolo Maldini, the technical director at Milan, said in September that Chelsea tried to get the player during the summer transfer window. He stated, "Chelsea sent us an unwritten offer for Leao in the summer: We declined it.

I believe that continuing to develop alongside us is best for him. Non-transferableIn other words, you have to wait and see what offers come in.

Graham Potter, the new manager of the Blues, has also done little to dispel the rumors. He has referred to the Portuguese player as "a top player," which has sparked a flurry of transfer rumors.

Spurs and PSG share Chelsea's desire for Rafael Leao. However, Chelsea will face significant opposition in their pursuit of Leao. Leao will face Tottenham, his rivals in London, in the Premier League if they pursue him.

PSG is now involved in the pursuit as well. Media Foot, a French source, claims that the giants of Ligue 1 are devising a "radical" strategy to capture Leao.

To accomplish this, they are willing to match his substantial release clause. PSG have made an offer that is exactly the same amount as Milan's release clause, which is a whopping €150 million (£132 million).

Leao would be one of the most expensive players ever to play for PSG, rather than Milan, at this price.

Some would argue that Leao should not transfer to PSG because the French club already possesses an embarrassing amount of wealth up front. World-class stars Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe typically make up the attacking trio.

Despite this, PSG are confident in their ability to recruit Leao. He has lived in France once before, when he was with Lille, and it seems like he would be happy to go back.

Spurs remain a possibility for English teams, and Chelsea currently lag far behind Christophe Galtier's team. However, the competition for Leao's endorsement is not over.

Sport Witness cites reports from Italy that state that the £132 million release clause is only in effect for the first two weeks of July.

This gives Chelsea and Spurs the chance to make a January bid for Leao. Additionally, the goalscorer may end up moving to England if PSG do not agree to sign him then.

On the other hand, Spurs and Chelsea might be able to acquire Leao in the second transfer window of the year if PSG miss the two-week deadline for their release clause.

The Blues are significantly more likely than Spurs to spend more than £100 million on a player, based on what we know about the finances of Chelsea and Spurs.

If he can help it, Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy does not like paying players excessive fees. This could stop Spurs from pursuing Leao.

Boehly, on the other hand, is the chairman of Chelsea and has already shown that he is willing to spend a lot of money to get his team back to the top.
