Man Utd sent a signal to Harry Kane after the Tottenham striker addressed transfer rumors.
Former Manchester United forward Louis Saha has urged his former club to try to entice Harry Kane away from Tottenham, believing Erik ten Hag will target a striker as his next signing.Man Utd have indeed been told that they "need" a striker like Tottenham's Harry Kane, and that the England captain would significantly improve the Red Devils' dressing room.
Former Old Trafford favorite Louis Saha made the claim, predicting that center-forward will be an area of the team that manager Erik ten Hag tries to strengthen in the next summer transfer window.
Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has been mentioned as a possible target. While he would not be cheap, United have already demonstrated their willingness to spend big under Ten Hag, having spent £220 million during the Dutchman's first transfer window.
With all that in thought, it may be critical for United's budget next summer if they can secure Champions League qualification this season. Any other situation would severely limit the type of business they could conduct, at least in theory.
Kane has previously been linked with a move to Manchester to play for United's local rivals City, but the deal fell through and Pep Guardiola's side instead chose to pursue and sign Erling Haaland the following summer.
He now has less than two years left on his contract with Spurs, and by the time next summer's transfer window arrives, Antonio Conte's side will have had their last chance to secure a fair fee for his departure.
Tho City paved the way for Kane's signature the previous time around, United have a long-standing interest in him, and Saha has explained why the deal would suit Ten Hag's side.
"Of moreover, Kane would be a fantastic addition to United," Saha told Compare. Bet. "He could travel anywhere in the world and shine. I'd be happy to have him at United because they need the kind of poise Kane has up front."
Kane isn't generally one to discuss his club future, but when rumors of a move to Bayern Munich surfaced earlier this season, the striker took the bold step of addressing the rumours, claiming interest from the German giants was flattering.
"I'm focused on Tottenham Hotspur and doing my best for them," Kane said. "Yes, Bayern Munich is a fantastic club, but my entire focus is on Tottenham and winning tomorrow night."
The 29-year-old has had a sensational start to the season that has largely gone unnoticed due to Haaland's incredible exploits, but Kane still has eight goals in nine league games.
