Mbappé is disgruntled that he has been required to play practically every game this season as a No 9 rather than in his favored position off the left after being unimpressed with PSG's performance in the summer transfer market.
The relationship between the player and the club is tense, but PSG believes the 23-year-old has made his displeasure known in an effort to put pressure on them. They plan to reject any offers for the player.
Mbappé shocked the Spanish club by committing his future to the team he joined after leaving Monaco in 2017. Real Madrid had anticipated that Mbappé would leave PSG for Real Madrid last summer.
"I am certain that here I can continue to improve within a club that gives itself all the resources to perform at the greatest level," the France international remarked at the time.

Given that his new contract expires in 2025, Mbappé stated over the weekend that he would be openly supporting Real in the Champions League final on Saturday and would not rule out joining them in the future.
