WHY DO VOLVO AND KIA MAKE THE BEST PRE-OWNED VEHICLES?

These are the brands you should purchase a certified pre-owned vehicle from.

You may have heard us refer to "certified pre-owned" in any of our articles about bargains on used cars. A Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle is one that has been inspected and given an extended warranty after being purchased on trade or off-lease at a dealership. We love CPO cars because they come with a warranty just like new cars do and can be a lot cheaper than new ones. Even though CPO automobiles are an excellent concept, not all of them are the same. Some of these programs have recently received awards because they are superior to others. An organization known as IntelliChoice evaluates all of the available CPO programs each year and awards the best ones. The programs are rated based on nine factors that customers said helped them make a decision about what to buy:Special Financing, Return/Exchange Policies, Program and Dealer Compliance, Market Penetration, Extended Manufacturer Warranties, Certification Inspection Process, Roadside Assistance, and Used Cost of Ownership The Enthusiast Network, which also owns MotorTrend, also owns IntelliChoice. The 19th IntelliChoice Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Car Awards were held this year.

Twenty-five distinct programs were evaluated and divided into premium and popular categories. Volvo was recognized as having the best premium warranty and premium program this year. In addition, Cadillac was honored with an award for having the lowest used ownership costs of any premium brand. The best popular brand used ownership costs went to General Motors, while the best popular program and best popular warranty went to Kia in the popular category. Kia offers a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty with 1-year/12,000-mile platinum comprehensive coverage, while Volvo offers a CPO warranty with a seven-year/100,000-mile comprehensive plan. We get a lot of questions about which used car they should buy. While Volvo and Kia have both made compelling arguments for why you should purchase through their CPO programs, there is obviously more to the equation than just how good the warranty is. Additionally, GM has demonstrated its proficiency in producing automobiles that are affordable to own, which is a top priority for many individuals. Used Volvo, Kia, and General Motors appear to be good options for a used car.
