Diogo Dalot, a right back for Manchester United, is said to have made a big decision about his future, with Barcelona and four other major European clubs hoping to sign him.

This season, Dalot has grown significantly under Erik ten Hag. He is the only outfield player for Manchester United who has started in all 13 of their 13 Premier League games thus far, well ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Ten Witch favors Dalot over Wan-Bissaka because of his additional danger while going after. However, the Portuguese defender is also dependable and has assisted Manchester United in keeping three league clean sheets in their last six games.

Ten Hag clearly wants to collaborate with Dalot for a few years, but right now, his future is far from certain.

At the end of the campaign, Dalot's Man United contract comes to an end. Under the Bosman ruling, this means that he can talk to European clubs that are interested from January 1 and possibly reach a pre-contract agreement.

In order to prevent a free-agent departure in the summer, Manchester United may have to sell the full-back in January if they are unable to negotiate a new contract.

ESPN recently reported that Man United had planned to activate Dalot's one-year contract extension. This would prevent him from moving to Barcelona for at least a year and keep him at Old Trafford for an additional season.

However, the Manchester Evening News provides an alternative update that appears to be positive for Man U supporters.

They claim that Diogo Dalot is willing to negotiate a new long-term contract and wants to stay with the Red Devils for the foreseeable future.

The 23-year-old has informed senior club personnel that he intends to remain in Manchester and that renewal negotiations can now begin.

The MEN claim that these talks have not yet begun, but Man United needs to get going right away because Barca aren't the only team interested in Dalot anymore.

According to the report, he is wanted by Juventus, Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, and Roma.

These are significant, powerful European teams. While Milan are the current Serie A champions, Atleti won the La Liga title in 2020 and 21.

Dalot and his agent will be able to get in touch with Dalot and his agent on January 1 to talk about a possible move away from England.Man United must therefore put in a lot of effort and begin negotiating the defender's new long-term contract.A raise in Dalot's pay should also be included as a reward for his good work under Ten Hag.

In Sunday's 0-0 draw with Newcastle, the six-time Portugal international played every minute. On Newcastle's left attack, he was able to keep Ryan Fraser and Jacob Murphy quiet. However, things did not go as planned for Cristiano Ronaldo, who was included in this weekend's Premier League's Worst XI.

During the upcoming game against Manchester United, Dalot can anticipate keeping his spot in the starting eleven. On Wednesday evening, they take on Tottenham at home.He might only be on the bench if Ten Hag decides to let him rest.
