N'Golo Kante, Reece James, Paul Pogba, and Diogo Jota are among the stars who appear certain to miss the World Cup.

A Numerous prominent athletes will be forced to withdraw from the World Cup owing to injury next month.

Players are now in a dangerous situation knowing that an injury during the early part of the season may prevent them from traveling to Qatar due to the historic mid-season tournament.

Many have already met that end; football's premier competition will be missed by players like French defender Boubacar Kamara, Portuguese stars Diogo Jota and Pedro Neto, and Portuguese stars Diogo Jota and Pedro Neto.

Others, though, including the Chelsea combo of Reece James and N'Golo Kante as well as Juventus' Paul Pogba, are still in serious danger and may survive with a quick recovery.

Currently, there are so many players whose ailments put their World Cup spots in jeopardy that a whole starting XI can be assembled.

The Argentine goalkeeper Juan Musso, whose ailment has been complicated by a face injury, would be in net.

The goalkeeper, who plays for Italian team Atlanta, underwent cosmetic surgery to correct the problem but might not travel to Qatar.

Thibaut Courtois of Real Madrid, who has missed every club match since the international break owing to injury, is also under question.

Kamara, who tore his knee ligaments eight games into his Villa career, would play defense.

He would be joined by Ronald Araujo, a star for Barcelona and Uruguay who is expected to miss out due to a thigh injury that he sustained in September.

Left-back Another injured French player, Lucas Digne, is slated to miss the World Cup, and Reece James of England's right back position faces an uncertain World Cup future after limping off against AC Milan in the Champions League.

N'Golo Kante and Paul Pogba, two French midfielders, are both seriously questionable. Since August, Kante hasn't played any football due to recurring ailments.

In contrast, Pogba's return to Juventus was marred by a knee injury that may prevent him from making Didier Deschamps' squad.

Georginio Wijnaldum, a former star for Liverpool, joins the duo in the injured XI. The Dutch midfielder only played one game while on loan at Roma before breaking his right tibia.

Due to his shoulder injury, Kalvin Phillips' fitness also continues to be questioned.

Raul Jimenez of Mexico, who plays up front, might have difficulty getting to Qatar. The Wolves striker is experiencing groin pain.
