VERY SAD AS FORM TWO OYOKO METHODIST SHS (OMESS) STUDENT DIES AFTER WRITING HER LAST PAPER

A form two student of the Oyoko Methodist Senior High School in the Eastern Region has died, the Ghana Education Service has announced. The student has been identified as Jennifer Naa Doku Bolor. 

She is said to have died on Thursday, July 30, after writing her last exam paper of the semester on that particular day.


According to the Ghana Education Service, Jennifer, after writing the exam reported sick to the school nurse and while she was being attended to, collapsed and was rushed to the St. Joseph Hospital.


This is, at least, the third reported incident of death of a student in a Senior High School since schools were partially reopened for students.


The first incident was at the KNUST SHS where a final year student died after school authorities allegedly refused to attend to him when he was complaining of stomach upset during the day. Another incident was at the Methodist Girls Senior High School (MEGHIS) at Mamfe, Akuapem in the Eastern Region, where Cindy Aku Sika Addo, a final year student, died after falling sick. Her death was reported on Friday, July 17, 2020.

The Accra Academy was the first private academy to be established in the Gold Coast, present-day Ghana. The academy is one of the foremost secondary educational institutions in Ghana and operates as a non-denominational day and boarding boys’ school, located at Bubuashie, near Kaneshie in the Greater Accra Region. 

Aburi Girls

Aburi Girls’ Senior High School, formerly Aburi Girls’ Secondary School, also known as ABUGISS, is a Presbyterian all-girls’ senior high boarding school located south of Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The boys school of Aburi Girls is Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School also known as “PreSec”.  


Archbishop Porter Girls


The Archbishop Porter Girls’ Secondary School is a female second cycle institution in Takoradi in the Western Region of Ghana. Archbishop Porter Girls’ Secondary School is a Catholic institution within the Ghana Public Education System. While it welcomes girls of all religious denominations
