THE WORLD'S FINEST ELECTRIC VEHICLE HAS BEEN UNVEILED AS THE ROLLS-ROYCE SPECTRE.

Rolls-Royce has entered the electrification market with the Spectre, the company's first electric vehicle. The two-door beauty, according to the company based in Goodwood, has established a new class of automobiles:the Electric Super Coupe with Extreme Elegance. This magnificent automobile, which, in typical Rolls-style, has elevated the luxury car and tailored it for the future of electric power, fits the description quite well. The Spectre is first and foremost an electric vehicle by Rolls-Royce.

The split-headlight design makes the Spectre look like the Rolls-Royce Ghost and is easy to compare to it. The electric coupe has a serious presence thanks to the slender clusters that flank the widest Pantheon grille ever installed on a Rolls-Royce. You'll notice that the vanes in the grille are smoother and fit flush, allowing this excess bastion to cleanly cut through the air. The grille is subtly backlit with 22 LEDs placed on the rear side of each grille vane for additional visual drama. A wind-cheating front end has been added to the Spirit of Ecstacy, too. Consequently, the Spectre is Rolls-Royce's most aerodynamic vehicle to date. The coupe is the first two-door with 23-inch wheels in nearly a century thanks to the company's decision to install them. It has an overall majestic appearance, which is enhanced by the extremely elegant fastback profile.

The Spectre marks a number of brand firsts. The lavish cabin features Starlight Doors, which, when combined with the Starlight Headliner, create an atmosphere that is unlike any other. There are 4,796 "stars" in the doors alone. Rolls-Royce owners will be familiar with the elegant dashboard and fascia, but the Spectre features a completely new front seat design.

Customers who have paid for the item can now choose whether the lapel sections match or contrast with the main base color. Naturally, we can anticipate that the bespoke department of the marque will provide discerning customers with a variety of personalization options for the paintwork, wood inlays, and upholstery. The Rolls-Royce Spectre, despite lacking a V8 or V12 engine, carries some serious hardware beneath its imposing appearance. The electric grand tourer, which is based on the brand's "Architecture of Luxury" platform, is the Rolls-Royce model with the highest stiffness (by 30%) of any previous model.

Extruded aluminum sections and the battery's integration into the structure are to thank for this. Thanks to clever packaging, engineers have been able to give the Spectre a floor that is completely flat.

This 6,559-pound luxury vehicle accelerates silently from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds thanks to 577 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque. In a car like this, the top speed is estimated to be 155 mph—not that it matters. The driving range has not yet been determined, but according to Rolls-Royce, the EPA's estimate is around 260 miles.

However, because Rolls-Royce has yet to complete testing, these figures are marked with an asterisk because they are subject to change. Buyers of Rolls-Royce are not particularly interested in rapid progress. The journey and the ride's sheer opulence are everything. Due to a combination of software advancements and careful tuning, the Planar suspension is guaranteed to deliver the "magic carpet ride" that has become synonymous with the brand. The planar suspension can decouple the anti-roll bars thanks to the vehicle's high-speed processing capabilities, allowing each wheel to function independently.

When you hit a bump in the road, this stops any unpleasant rocking motions. On poorly finished roads, it also reduces vibrations and high-frequency imperfections, making for a peaceful ride for passengers. The system will quickly recouple the various components and stiffen the dampers when the Spectre detects a corner. The large electric coupe's four-wheel steering will effortlessly maneuver the vehicle around a bend.

In addition, it is Rolls-Royce's most connected vehicle to date. Due to the Spectre's rapid decentralized intelligence processing and its immediate response while in motion, engineers jokingly referred to it as "Rolls-Royce in high definition." Over the course of 1.55 million miles of testing, these systems were evaluated. Although many may view the introduction of an electric Rolls-Royce as heresy, the ultra-luxury marque is one of the few that is better suited to battery power. Silence, instant torque, and unparalleled refinement are all hallmarks of the historic brand when it comes to EV driving. In fact, Charles Rolls would have changed over a century ago if he had wanted to.

"The electric vehicle is completely silent and clean. There is no sound or smell. " When fixed charging stations can be set up, "they should be very useful," he famously stated in 1900. This electric marvel is the culmination of Rolls-Royce's exacting standards and vision for the world's finest automobiles, so it's unfortunate that he won't be present to witness the Spectre.

"This marks the beginning of a daring new era for our marque, our exceptional customers, and the luxury industry." According to CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos, "I believe Spectre is the most perfect product that Rolls-Royce has ever produced."

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Spectre is expected to sneak quietly into dealerships, but customers can already commission their own example. The cost starts at $413,000, but it can go much higher from there, depending on the features.
