Unhappy Accra Hearts of Oak supporters want to hold a protest in the coming days to voice their unhappiness about the club's poor administration and other issues.

The performances on the field this season and other managerial choices made by the team have not pleased the fans.

This season, the Phobians have participated in three matches in the Ghana Premier League. Hearts of Oak has two points and is presently ranked 14th in the league that is on break. The Accra-based club has two league draws and one loss.

The club was defeated by ASR Bamako of Mali in the Caf Confederations Cup. The Phobians lost 3-0 on the road in the first leg then triumphed 1-0 in the Accra Sports Stadium.

One of the fans informed Peace FM that the planned protest would take place across the country and that they would boycott any location where Hearts was playing. Wayo, the fan, also informed Dan Kweku Yeboah that they would no longer be purchasing the team's replica jerseys.

Under attack, Sowah Odotei and Alhaji Akanbi are defended by Togbe Afede.

During the unveiling of new coach Matic, Accra Hearts of Oak financier Togbe Afede supported management members under pressure Vincent Sowah Odotei and Alhaji Akanbi.

The two management personnel have come under fire from the club's supporters after the team's shaky start to the 2022–23 football season.

They have asked Togbe Afede to fire the pair and name capable individuals to run the club's business.

In response to the calls, Togbe Afede stated that the Odotei and Akanbi are very hard workers and were crucial to the success of the 2021–2022 football season.

"I can state categorically that individuals like Akanbi and Odotei are extremely uncommon. Akanbi and Odotei are unparalleled in my experience when it comes to guaranteeing value for the money. He said on Peace FM, which footballghana.com was listening to, "Sometimes I am amazed about the level of commitment of these people, and believe me, the successes of 2021/2022 on the field, what we are doing at Pobiman, the commercial center, supporters liaison office, and the new head office building would never have been possible without the dedication of these people."

"That needs to be told enough in specific words. Why would someone believe I am investing so much and using the wrong people? If I can't trust them, they won't participate in what we're doing, and if they're not diligent workers, we won't have achieved what we have?"
