Chelsea Transfer Rumours: Striker could leave, Hunt for French attacker, French midfielder on the radar
Frederic Massara and Paolo Maldini met with intermediary Cheikh Fall, who has connections with Chelsea striker Armando Broja's agents. After a successful loan spell at Southampton, the Albanian international returned to the London giants at the end of last season.
Broja would have expected to see a lot more action at Stamford Bridge, but things haven't gone as planned. Last season, the Albanian centre-forward scored nine goals for the Saints. And, at this point in his career, Armando requires more playing time. However, if the Blues are unable to provide him with that platform, a transfer would be ideal for the 21-year-old centre-forward. Aubameyang is currently ahead of him in the pecking order, and Chelsea are reportedly looking to bring in additional reinforcements as well. The Blues have been linked with Jonathan David as a possible summer signing. The Rossoneri are thought to be looking to strengthen their front line and have identified the Albanian as a possible target. Milan have a strong relationship with the Premier League club, and they recently collaborated on the transfers of Tomori and Giroud.
It remains to be seen whether the Rossoneri can persuade Chelsea to sell Armando right now. Broja recently extended his contract with the Blues until 2028. And Armando will almost certainly cost a premium if Milan decides to sign him in the summer. Broja has proven his worth in the Premier League, and there is no doubt that he has what it takes to succeed in Italian football as well.
