After Erling Haaland scored a brace against Brighton in today's Premier League match. The Norwegian striker's only competition is the Premier League golden boot race. He has 17 Premier League goals in the 2022/23 season and could break Mohamed Salah's record for most Premier League goals in a single season. Salah scored 32 Premier League goals, and it's clear that the Norwegian striker needs 15 more to match Salah's total. However, six golden boot winners have scored 30 or more goals in a single season.
Salah, Luis Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Robin Van Persie, Thierry Henry, and Kevin Phillips are among them. Salah, on the other hand, has three Premier League goals this season, while Cristiano Ronaldo has just one. Both players are several goals behind Erling Haaland in the Premier League golden boot race.
However, Harry Kane, who has won the Premier League golden boot three times, did not reach the 30-goal mark in any of those seasons.
The Tottenham striker has nine goals in 11 Premier League games this season, making him a strong contender for the Premier League Golden Boot. However, Kane will face stiff competition from Haaland, and while the England striker may still reach 30 Premier League goals this season, he may not win the Premier League Golden Boot. How many goals do you expect Haaland to score by the end of the 2022/23 season?
