Liverpool should consider 'next Erling Haaland' transfer as FSG can repeat 36m Red Bull move
Liverpool will need to consider adding more players to its attacking line in the coming years. With Roberto Firmino getting older, and the club's depth having been reduced by the departures of Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi in the summer, FSG will need to bring more reinforcements to Anfield sooner or later.
Red Bull Salzburg, which has a reputation for producing elite forwards, appears to be one of the best places to sign forwards at the moment. To varying degrees, Erling Haaland, Patson Daka, Karim Adeyemi, and Benjamin eko can attest to this.
Of course, FSG has a strong relationship with the Red Bull group, having previously done business with not only Red Bull Salzburg but also RB Leipzig
The clubs' strong bond was highlighted this summer when Liverpool played pre-season games against both Leipzig and Salzburg.
Back then, it was Slovenian eko who made headlines for his outstanding performance against Liverpool. However, RB Leipzig has already signed him ahead of next summer. With the recent acquisition of Karim Konat, Salzburg appears to be lining up the perfect heir to his throne.
We previously wrote about Konat, who is already a senior Ivorian international and scored 10 goals in 12 games for ASEC Mimosas in the CAF Confederation Cup and Champions League the same club that developed Yaya and Kolo Tour and Gervinho.
Konat has settled into life in Salzburg relatively quickly since the summer. The 18-year-old has joined the club's second-string squad, playing in Austria's second division while also representing Salzburg's U19 team in the UEFA Youth League.
