Arsenal drew with Southampton at Saint Mary's Stadium, highlighting the need for the Gunners to add depth to their squad in the winter transfer window of 2023. Arsenal's form could suffer if one of their key players is injured. Despite leading the Premier League table, their position is under threat from Manchester City, and if they do not sign at least two or three top players in January, the title could slip through their fingers.Arsenal must sign a proper right-back during the winter transfer window. The player they sign for this position must be an attacking threat, similar to Liverpool's Alexander Arnold. Tomiyasu and Cedric are both capable right-backs, but they lack attacking zeal because they rarely provide assists or score from their positions. Arsenal would also benefit from strengthening its left wing position over the winter. Arteta should consider loaning out Smith Rowe to free up space on the left wing. Most teams, such as Manchester City and Liverpool, can score a lot of goals thanks to the effectiveness of their wingers. The current squad depth at Arsenal.
Gabriel Magalhaes, Zinchenko, Cedric, Tomiyasu, Saliba, Holding, and B. White are the defenders.
Turner and A. Ramsdale are the goalkeepers.

Man Utd transfer blow as ‘PSG prepare £90million bid for defensive target Benfica star Antonio Silva’
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN is reportedly interested in Benfica defender and Manchester United target Antonio Silva for £90 million.
The Red Devils sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old Portuguese center-back earlier this month.
He has made his way into the team this season as a result of injuries to first-teamers Lucas Verissimo and Joao Victor.
And he has performed admirably at the highest level, including a pair of 1-1 draws with PSG in the Champions League.
According to Le10Sport, those performances have piqued the interest of those in charge of the Ligue 1 giants.
They were initially interested in him over the summer, but are now preparing to return for the adolescent. He has a release clause of 100 million euros, so a bid of around £90 million would be required to entice him away from Benfica.
And there is no way for him to wait for his current contract to expire because it does not expire until 2027.
Along with Manchester United, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Napoli, and Valencia are said to be interested in the defender.
However, they are all thought to be put off by the massive release clause.Silva has yet to be capped by the Portugal national team despite starting 11 of Benfica's 13 games this season.
He is, however, making a late push to be named to Fernando Santos' final World Cup squad next month.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are looking to add to their central defensive options.
Raphael Varane was forced off the field in tears during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Chelsea, and he faces time on the sidelines.
Lisandro Martinez is expected to keep his starting spot, but Harry Maguire's form has deteriorated and he is also recovering from an injury.Victor Lindelof is the other senior center-half, but he is not regarded as a long-term solution.
United are currently fifth in the Premier League table, one point behind fourth-placed Chelsea.
