Lionel Messi is scheduled to engage in transfer negotiations after blatantly "ignor[ing] Barcelona calls."

At the end of the current season, Lionel Messi's contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires, and teams are already vying for his services, including Barcelona.

Last year, Lionel Messi moved from Barcelona to PSG.

After "disregarding phone calls" from Barcelona, who want him to return to the Camp Nou, Lionel Messi intends to undertake additional discussions with MLS club Inter Miami.

Messi left Barcelona as a free agent and signed a two-year deal with Paris Saint-Germain last year.

Due to La Liga's stringent Financial Fair Play compliance regulations, the Catalan giants were unable to sign the Argentine superstar to a new contract, which led to the surprise move. This summer will mark the end of his PSG deal.

It is alleged that Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, has called Messi over the phone through an intermediary but that the Argentinean has not responded. During his latest trip to Paris for the Ballon d'Or awards, Laporta attempted to meet the celebrity but was similarly unsuccessful.

The 35-year-old thinks that during the summer, Laporta and the Barca board misled him, and that the two sides' relationship has never fully recovered.

The Blaugrana continue to prioritize Messi's return the next season, but the player is refusing to discuss the prospect with them.

Due to his contractual condition, Messi is theoretically free to negotiate with other teams starting on January 1 when his deal at the Parc des Princes expires this coming summer. PSG is still eager to extend his contract despite the possibility that Barcelona would attempt an ambitious comeback.

Multiple discussions have already taken place with Inter Miami and Messi's father, Jorge, according to a story in The Athletic. Jorge and Jose Mas, who own the MLS team alongside David Beckham, are reportedly in charge of negotiations with the father of the Argentine sensation.

For PSG this season, Lionel Messi has found his goal-scoring form again.

Say Something! What team will Messi play for in the upcoming campaign? Give us your thoughts on this.

For Les Parisiens, the 35-year-old has been unstoppable in front of goal this season, scoring 11 goals in all competitions. That means he has already equaled his total in his first season in Paris, where he seems to have found his best form again.

Prior to the start of the previous season, he left the Camp Nou, and the team went without a title. They were eliminated from the Copa del Rey at the quarterfinal stage, crashed out of the Champions League in the group stages, and finished last

a distant second to Real Madrid in La Liga.
