4 Arsenal players feature in Premier League Teams of the Week
Garth Crooks of the BBC named Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard to his Team of the Week.
Crooks, as usual, couldn't help but poke fun at Arsenal in his assessment of Odegaard's performance, writing that the midfielder appeared "very composed and cultured" before adding that he hopes the World Cup break will break Arsenal's momentum.
In WhoScored, two other Arsenal players were selected, with Odegaard appearing in both. Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus were the two extra Gunners in the lineup, and they were well-deserved.According to WhoScored, Odegaard (8.41 rating) was "an ever present around the Forest 18-yard box" and "a key link in the attack," with the most chances created of any player in the game (five).
Nelson's 8.95 rating is easy to understand given that he scored two and assisted one of Arsenal's five goals in his substitute appearance.
WhoScored highlights Jesus' two assists from four key passes, two big chances created, and three shots on target. The striker was named WhoScored's Premier League Player of the Week, with a rating of 9.05.The Team of the Week awards are being distributed throughout Arsenal's team once again, as they have been all season.
It's difficult to single out a single player who has played regularly in these teams, which is a good thing for Arsenal. They don't appear to be dependent on anyone at the moment, making them more difficult to shut down.
This season's goal totals reflect this, with Jesus (five), Martinelli (five), Saka (five), Odegaard (four), and Xhaka (four) all contributing to Arsenal's attacking quintet.
After Sunday's trip to Stamford Bridge, they'll all want to be in the Team of the Week the following week.
