Manchester United began their rebuilding process in the summer transfer window of 2022, which explains why they allowed the majority of their players to leave the club as free agents. Some of these players were loaned to other clubs, and we'll provide an update on their performance in the 2022/23 season shortly.
Jesse Lingard joined Nottingham Forest in the summer of 2022, but he has yet to score or assist in 11 games for the club. Given his decline in form since leaving Manchester United, the England forward may not be called up for the FIFA World Cup.Edinson Cavani, on the other hand, joined Valencia after his contract with Manchester United expired. This season, the Uruguayan striker has four goals and an assist in seven games for Valencia.
Juan Mata, on the other hand, joined Galatasaray and has scored one goal in three appearances for the Turkish club. His game has been limited this season due to his age, but he always gives his all when called upon as a substitute. Alex Telles, who joined Sevilla on loan, has also contributed two assists in 16 games for the Spanish club this season.
Finally, Bailly is currently on loan at Marseille, where he has made eight appearances this season. Paul Pogba, on the other hand, joined Juventus after his contract with Manchester United expired. However, due to injury, the French midfielder has yet to play for Juventus this season. He is expected to miss the FIFA World Cup, which begins in 19 days.

NEWCASTLE COULD BE ONE OF MYSTERY CLUBS CHASING BARCELONA TALENT WITH ‘HUGE POTENTIAL’
English clubs are interested in Alejandro Balde, and Newcastle United could be a good fit for the Barcelona wonderkid.
Barcelona has been eliminated from the Champions League knockout stages, and their summer spending spree now appears to have been a mistake.
Barca appeared to have budgeted for prize money from the knockout rounds, but now faces yet another financial nightmare.
We can only assume that if it hasn't been nailed down, it's on the market in Barcelona right now.
That means Frenkie de Jong, Memphis Depay, and possibly Memphis Depay himself could be available.English clubs are interested in Alejandro Balde.
Then there's left back Balde, who could be Barcelona's future.
Balde, 19, has progressed through the Barcelona ranks after joining from neighboring Espanyol at the age of eight.
Balde, an attacking-minded left back, has made 13 first-team appearances this season and contributed three assists.
According to Catalan newspaper SPORT, two English clubs have already made significant offers to entice Balde away from Barcelona.
Balde wants to stay, but the offers are tempting, and his agent, Jorge Mendes, may try to orchestrate a departure.
The identities of the two clubs are unknown, but Newcastle United could be involved.
Joao Cancelo and Sergio Gomez play for Manchester City. Manchester United was only recently formed.Chelsea have Ben Chilwell and Marc Cucurella, Arsenal have added Oleksandr Zinchenko to compete with Kieran Tierney, and Tottenham will have Destiny Udogie in 2023, joining Ryan Sessegnon and Ivan Perisic at left wing back.
There isn't a clear contender in the top six, which brings us to the main team attempting to break into the European places - Newcastle.
Eddie Howe currently lacks a clear first-choice left back, with Dan Burn and Matt Targett splitting time there.
Newcastle may not be looking for a left back right now, but if a top talent like Balde was available, they could make the move to bolster Howe's attacking play down the flanks. They have the funds to go after Balde and Barcelona and continue their strategy of signing players who can improve over time.
When you add it all up, Newcastle makes sense as a destination for Balde, and we wouldn't be surprised if the Magpies tried a daring move in 2023.
