According to Minority Chief Whip Ahmed Ibrahim, the majority caucus should have given the president notice when, during a cabinet meeting, Mr Akufo-Addo rebuffed their demand for his cousin's dismissal by asking, "When he [Ken Ofori-Atta] was sponsoring my campaign, where were you?
Responding to the majority caucus' press conference earlier on Tuesday, Mr Ibrahim stated, "We are the people's representatives."
There was no press conference held by the minority leader.
He told the chairman of the business committee that we must move a motion to remove the finance minister as representatives of the people and as duty bearers.
So, if our brothers in the majority [caucus] believe in this, they should support the minority leader's call and the minority leader's motion to dismiss the finance minister."
