The lawyer hinted at calling for the president's impeachment if he doesn't quit, continuing previous criticism of the ruling government's failure to protect Ghanaians from financial hardship.

He explained that the constitution's founders were wise enough to include the provision for resignation, which is contained in Article 66, before outlining the process for impeachment in Article 69.

Therefore, the lawyer advised the president and his vice to resign since they are unable to carry out their duties.

Since the economy collapsed in August [2022], President Akufo-Addo should have resigned, according to Martin Kpebu on Angel FM's Anopa Bofo Morning Show. He has stayed past his time limit. The vice president may also quit if he considers that things are not going well, as provided for in Article 66 of the Constitution of [1992]

"Since we have started demanding his resignation, the president only needs to inform Ghanaians that he has heard our screams and is resigning as a result. If we say we're waiting till 2024, we'll die from the pain we've endured. Why should we wait two more years, please!

He stressed that the country has reached this point as a result of the president's bad performance.

He claimed that when Ken 0fori-Atta, President Akufo-finance Addo's minister, and they borrow, their families benefit while Ghana suffers as a result. According to Mr. Kpebu, neither COVID 19 nor the Russia-Ukraine War are causing Ghanaians any distress.

Martin Kpebu pointed out that the President's speech on the state of the economy in Ghana was ineffective because he should have started by admitting he is to blame and pleading for forgiveness. However, since this did not happen, everything he said did not bode well for Ghanaians.

Regarding his Kume Preko demonstration, he stated that it will begin at 7:00 am at the Obra Spot and proceed to Independence Square under police protection.
