On the surface, Leighton seems like any other city: big buildings, congested streets, and a diverse population. It also contains rats. These mice are not your typical nuisance because they carry a dangerous pathogen. The fatal virus infiltrates the unsuspecting community, pitting friends and family against one other. Atrocities of feral behavior grow quicker than anybody can stop them, and populations become foolishly desperate. Survival is on everyone's mind, whether they join forces or stand alone. Unfortunately, not even you will make it out in the drake.
where she still spends the most of the year. During the summer, she may be seen in Muskoka's woodlands and lakes, a favorite spot for both her and her cat. She works in a variety of genres, and while she mostly writes novels and short stories, she also dabbles in film screenplays on occasion. She is a Humber College graduate and accomplished 3D artist who still likes painting and photography. Kristal worked at both Blockbuster and Ubisoft before pursuing her ambition of becoming a novelist, which appealed to her film and video game loving sides. She is commonly seen on Twitter, her current favorite social media platform.
One of the better zombie books, with some great themes but also a few low points.
The plot is rather straightforward in that it covers the first 48 hours or so of a large cast of humans fleeing an urban area after a traditional zombie virus becomes epidemically critical.
1. Technically sound writing: solid sentence structure, grammar, and so on. Mostly free of 'what the hell? ' typos and jumbled syntax. Excellent, even if this is a basic hygiene factor in any work paying customers.
2. A whole yarn. Huzzah! Ms Skittle, thankfully, has resisted the temptation to drip-feed her story, as so many of her competitors do. The reader gets the entire shebang for his or her money. Excellent.
