On the 2nd November,2022, unknown blood thirsty men from Wassa Saman attacked one Mr. Robert Kudese aged 22, a native of Fodzoku-Juapong (North Tongu District-Volta Region) who went to transfer money to the wife and two other guys namely Adey and the third victim unknown who moved from Wassa Konkonsu to Wassa Kropong and brutalize them to death at Wassa Saman.

The assailants have blocked the passage routes of the guys and seized their motorbikes at Wassa Saman. The motor bike is impounded by the police of Wassa Kropong.

The assailants have interrogated the guys in turns  for a while and finally started beating and stoning the three of them to death in a pool of blood.

On the 5th November,2022, the police officers invaded the residence of the deceased(Robert Kudese) in search of his room.

The murderers after the evil committed has since fled from the community. Indeed, no information is received so far about the whereabouts of the murderers.

An eye witness(name witheld) of the event narrated the scene.

The three deceased have been accused of stealing gold which belong to one man who leaves in Wassa Konkonsu environs.

He therefore organized men to lay ambush to kill any man in possession of gold sample.

In fact, there has not been any evidence of Robert Kudese being in possession of the said gold. The police is therefore urged to do proper investigation into the matter to hold the culprits to order.

From the narrations of the witness, one could largely say that, there are more evils in the galamseys than just water pollutions and destructions of our precious farmlands.

As a concerned writer of this piece, we plead on government to deal with this galamsey issue with all the seriousness it deserves regardless of any prejudice.
