In 2023, the Gunners will undoubtedly be looking for a holding midfielder.

Mohamed Elneny may leave the club, and natural competition for Thomas Partey in front of the back four is required.

Douglas Luiz of Aston Villa will not be joining after signing a new contract, but Edu may have another Brazilian in mind.Danilo, the star of Palmeiras, has been mentioned on numerous occasions.

Arsenal launched a £20 million move for Danilo in August, according to Goal, but no deal was completed during the summer window.

Palmeiras did not want to sell because they were chasing the Brazilian league title at the time, but the London Evening Standard reported in September that Arsenal were still interested.

The Sun reported in October that Arsenal believes Palmeiras will sell in January and will offer £26 million for him.If we had to guess who Arsenal's next midfield addition would be, we'd say Danilo.

The 21-year-old had a fantastic week after winning the title with Palmeiras, who are well aware that he will be leaving soon.
