Former England Striker Darren Bent opens up on why Thomas Partey is the 'most important player' at Arsenal
Ex-England striker Darren Bent believes that Thomas Partey is the most important player at Arsenal because he is the 'glue' that holds the team together.
On Sunday, Arsenal defeated Chelsea 1:0 in the London Derby of the English Premier League (EPL).
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus scored the game's lone goal, giving his team the victory.
Arsenal leads the league after thirteen games, with 34 points. The 29-year-old was once again impressive for the Gunners, leaving fans in awe of his performance this season.
Darren Bent considers himself to be the most important piece of the puzzle at the Emirates Stadium.
"At Arsenal, my top four would be Ramsdale, Saliba, Partey (the glue), and Gabriel Jesus." But when Thomas Partey isn't in that midfield, they look completely different," he explained on TalkSPORT.
"You're then asking Xhaka to play a part he doesn't want to play." He wants to go forward, get involved, and score. He can't do that when Partey isn't present. He is the club's most important player," he added.
Thomas Partey is one of fifty-five players on the provisional squad and is expected to shine for the team.
