‘He needs to find himself another club’- Mourinho speaks after Roma’s draw against Sassuolo
The former Chelsea manager was pleased with his team's performance at Mapei Stadium, but he suspected a traitor was among them.
Following a 1-0 loss to city rivals Lazio in the Rome derby on Sunday evening, Roma returned to league action on Wednesday evening.
Mourinho's men, however, could only manage a point against Alessio Dionisi's men. Roma dominated the first half, creating the best chance, but Eldor Shomorudov was unable to beat the goalkeeper after Nicolo Zaniolo set him up.The second half was similar until substitute Tammy Abraham scored in the 80th minute to give Mourinho's team the lead.
Mourinho's men appeared to be running away with the game until Andrea Pinamonti scored five minutes from time to save a point for Sassuolo.
While it is an improvement over Sunday's performance against Lazio, Mourinho is not pleased with one of his players' attitude, accusing him of betraying the team.
After the game, the Portuguese tactician stated that the player's performance betrayed the team's efforts."It was a team that wanted to win against a tough opponent, and I'm sorry that the team's efforts were undermined by the attitude of one unprofessional player," Mourinho said. You didn't hear me say that about Roger Ibanez against Lazio because mistakes are a part of the game. His demeanor was never an issue."What disappoints me is an unprofessional attitude that is not fair to his teammates."
"A point away from home is still not a bad result, and I am pleased with my team's overall attitude."
When asked who the player is, Mourinho refused to reveal his name, claiming he told him to find another club.
"I'm not going to tell you. "I had 16 players on the field tonight, and 15 of them had a good attitude," Mourinho continued.
"I told him that he had this attitude only today and not always." We want to finish this stretch of the season with three points.
"He needs to find another club in January," Mourinho concluded.
