Head Coach of the national team of Ghana, Otto Addo will during this weekend name his 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup. This will be a great reduction from the 55-man provisional list released on Friday, November 2.
The world football governing body, FFA has set November 14 as the final day for the 32 qualified countries to release their final squads. Even before the day, countries including Japan, Brazil, South Korea, Uruguay and Costa Rica have already released their final squads for the tournament which will begin on the 20th of November, 2022.
Members of the team are expected to be arriving at the camp on Sunday at Abu Dhabi in preparation for a friendly match against Switzerland before the tournament commences. Earlier on the team played against Nicaragua and Brazil in a friendly match in preparation for the tournament.
The Black Stars have a daunting and challenging task as they have been grouped with Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in Group H of the tournament. Their first match is against Portugal on November 24, followed by South Korea on November 28, and end against Uruguay on December 2 at the AI Janoub Stadium in AI Wakra in the group stages.
