Kroos 10, Rodrygo 4: rating Real Madrid players in Cadiz win

The German was the mastermind behind Real Madrid's victory tonight. He set up the first goal with a brilliant curved cross and then scored the second with a powerful volley from outside the penalty box.

Kroos was flawless in his distribution, completing 88/95 passes, 11/14 long balls, and providing four key passes.

Militao was booked early on for being caught out of position, but he went on to put in an excellent performance. Aside from his goal, Eder impressed with his defensive work (3 clearances, 2 tackles, 1 interception) and accurate passing. It's unfortunate that Vini didn't end the night with an assist, but it's not his fault that Luka Modric missed an open goal from two meters out. On the wing, the Brazilian was a constant threat, beating his defenders and then going for the shot or the pass inside. The right-back lacked proper decision-making tonight. Lucas frequently received the ball deep in his opponent's territory but went for the shot when he needed to pass, and vice versa. He also didn't contribute much on defense.

Rodrygo, who was playing at center-forward again, wasn't as useful in the buildup as he was in the previous game, despite having free reign of the pitch. The youngster's finishing was also poor, as he failed to score from good positions.

Courtois, Alaba, Mendy, Tchouameni, Modric, and Valverde are the others.

Camavinga, Ceballos, and Nacho - n/a
