Arsenal's claim to the English Premier League title has grown stronger by the day. The Gunners have had a strong start to the season, and on matchday 14 they defeated the English Premier League's traditional "top six."
Earlier in the season, Mikel Arteta's side defeated Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool, and with Chelsea joining the list of top six clubs the Gunners have defeated, Manchester City is the only top six team they have yet to face. Only Manchester United has defeated Arsenal in the English Premier League this season.
The Gunners were both defensively and offensively strong against Chelsea. Despite the lack of chances, the Gunners dominated, and their dominance bore fruit in the 63rd minute when Gabriel Mahalgaes scored the game's only goal to give the Gunners all three points.
Arsenal's performance was most impressive on defense, as the scoreline ensured that they kept their sixth clean sheet of the English Premier League season. This also resulted in them having the joint-most players in the official team of the week.
