The talented Ghanaian rapper and singer-songwriter has joined Boomplay's Golden Club. He is the first Ghanaian to receive this award after amassing a total of 200 million streams on the app.His debut album The Villain I Never Was has amassed a total of 141.1 million streams and currently tops Boomplay's list of most-streamed African albums.
Black Sherif announced this on its social media pages and thanked Boomplay for the generous distribution of the record.Black Sherif recently released their debut album which contains 14 non-featured tracks. Prior to the release of his first album "THE VILLIAN I NEVER WAS", he was in the top 100 streams on the Boomplay Golden Club due to massive streaming of his first album.
The young superstar has just hit major streams in every music store worldwide, making waves on international playlists and charts everywhere. Black Sherif owns 200 Boomplay streams at the Golden Club. The talented 20 year old artist, born Mohammed Ismail Sharif, released Money, Cry For Me and Destiny in 2020, which made him popular on the internet.
When The Sheriff's First Sermon and Second Sermon were released in 2021, they went viral and put him in the spotlight.His remix of "Second Sermon" with Burna Boy gave him further reach in Africa and beyond.
