How to improve hair growth and healthy.

To improve the appearance and condition of our hair, we shouldn’t just rely on the products or treatments we apply. We should focus on what’s going on inside our bodies. Ensure that you go to a high-quality hair salon to get a haircut or any hair treatment. By this, you know your hair will be in good hands and won’t end up damaged.

Here are 5 of our top tips for healthy-looking hair :

1. Eat Your Way to Healthy Hair

Do you know that your diet can have a significant effect on the state of your hair? Moreso, consuming enough protein is incredibly important for keeping your hair looking strong and healthy. Our protein needs vary depending on factors such as physical activity and age, but it’s important to include a variety of protein-rich foods in your diet. Your physician can help you to assess your protein needs. Certain vitamins and minerals are essential for growing strong, healthy hair. Important vitamins and minerals for hair health are iron, vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids, biotin, and zinc. Some of our favorite foods for healthy hair are salmon, walnuts, eggs, lentils, spinach, and Greek yogurt.

2. Don’t Wash Your Hair Too Often

Stop over washing your hair because it can become dry and dull. If you have an oily scalp you may need to wash your hair every day, depending on its appearance. If you have dry hair, try to limit the frequency with which you wash it, use your hair’s appearance as a guideline rather than having a set hair-washing schedule.

3. Use Conditioner On The Ends Of Your Hair

Conditioning your hair after shampooing is an important step to include in your hair care routine, but conditioner can make your hair look lank and greasy if it’s applied incorrectly. Conditioner helps to replace moisture lost from your hair while shampooing and works to smooth down your hair cuticle. When applying conditioner, only apply it to the tips of your hair, not to the roots. Applying conditioner in this way will prevent the hair at your scalp from looking greasy and dull.

4. Don’t Brush Your Hair When It’s Wet

Wet hair is more vulnerable to breakage and can stretch and break easily if it’s brushed. After washing your hair, gently towel dry and leave to dry in a hair turban or towel for around 30 minutes. When brushing your hair, use a wide-toothed comb or a Tangle Teezer to gently remove any knots. If you’re looking for a natural bristle brush that evenly spreads your natural hair oils with minimal pulling to your scalp, you may want to look into Rock and Ruddle combs and hairbrushes.

5. Don’t Over Style Your Hair

Over straightening, curling, or blow-drying, can dry out and damage your hair; try to limit the frequency with which you use heated styling tools. Before straightening or curling your hair, make sure it’s completely dry. Many companies sell heat-protecting sprays, which can be applied before styling. Don’t blow-dry your hair when it’s soaking wet. Leave it to partially air-dry or gently towel dry it first. This will reduce the time your hair is being subjected to the heat from the blow-dryer and should help to prevent damage.
