After the success of his recent album Love Damini, Burna Boy has been nominated for the grammys again. Grammy nominees were announced yesterday evening 15th November 2022. 

Burna boy has been nominated on two categories :

1. Best Global music performance 

2. Best Global music album 

Unlike wizkid that was unlucky to win the Grammy with made in lagos, I think Burna Boy would win this without any doubt.

African giant like he calls himself is one of the artists taking afrobeat to the Global stage. Afrobeats to the world.

Tems

Singer tems has also been nominated in two categories with her feature in future's song "Wait for you". 

Personally I think tems is one of the artist that Grace follows everywhere just like wizkid. She hasn't been long in the game and has been able to get international recognition within a very short while. Of course we can't take away the influence of the song she did with Wizkid "Essense" away from her carrier. The song opened doors for her and wizkid and they able to smash and create many records. Essence should have won the best Global music performance earlier this year but the grammys could be funny at times as we all know. 

Tems bags two nomination yesterday's evening :

1. Best melodic rap performance 

2. Best rap song

Without any doubts i believe Burna and Tems should win this category without fuss. 

Laslas Is a song that has been making waves since it's release. Even Dj khaled put up a post of him vibing to the song on his Instagram page. The popularity of the song trace back to the fact that it was sampled from one of Toni Braxton's songs.

Tems on the other gave an exceptional hook in the song "Wait for you. Future featured her and Drake on the amazing song and I really hope it would win come 2023.

Big ups to all artists working hard to put africa on the map.
