Black Adam is one of the latest releases starring Dwayne Johnson a.k.a The Rock as the main character. This movie has been very anticipated since it began shooting. It features other iconic characters such as Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher Hawkman and Cyclone. A lot of DC fans are excited about this movie.
Let's dig into the plot shall we
The
Crown of Sabbac was established in 2600 BC by the despotic ruler Ahk-Ton of
Kahndaq in an effort to consolidate his control.
The
Council of Wizards grants a young slave boy the Shazam powers when he attempts
to stage a revolution, changing him into Kahndaq's valiant champion who kills
Ahk-Ton and overthrows his rule.
Tomaz, an archaeologist and resistance fighter, is currently trying to find the
Crown of Sabbac with the aid of her brother Karim and their coworkers Samir and
Ishmael while Kahndaq is being subjugated by the Intergang.
Adrianna
is forced to read an incantation that awakens Teth-Adam, whom she believes to
be Kahndaq's champion, from a slumber as she receives the crown after Intergang
ambushes them and kills Samir.
Amanda
Waller, a representative of the US government, believes Adam poses a threat as
he decimates the majority of the Intergang soldiers and calls the Justice
Society to help capture him.
Ishmael,
Adrianna's teenage son Amon, who has stolen and concealed the crown, is being
sought by Ishmael, who exposes himself to be the leader of Intergang in
Kahndaq.
Finding
the crown, Adam, Adrianna, and the Justice Society want to exchange it for
Amon.
When
he finally gets to Ishmael, he explains that he is the final heir to King
Ahk-Ton and that he wishes to take the throne in his due place.
Adrianna
voluntarily gives the crown to Adam in an effort to save Amon, but Adam loses
control and uses his power to destroy the hideout, killing Adam and injuring
Amon while Ishmael breaks the terms of their agreement and shoots at Amon.
Guilt-ridden,
Adam retreats to the remains of Ahk-palace Ton's and tells Hawkman that Hurut,
Adam's son, was actually the one who received Shazam's abilities and became
Kahndaq's champion, contrary to what had been previously believed.
Adam
gives up since he doesn't believe he can be a real hero. The Justice Society
then transports him to an undersea Task Force X black site in Antarctica where
Fate foresees Hawkman's eventual demise.
The
Justice Society realizes Ishmael provoked Adam to kill him while he was wearing
the Crown in order to be doomed to Hell and reincarnated as a champion of the
six demons of Sabbac, emerging from the underworld to take his throne and the
power contained inside. As they arrive back in the city.
Fate
utilizes astral projection to release Adam while conversing with him in his
cryo sleep as he battles Sabbac alone.
Adam
shows up just as Sabbac is about to kill the Justice Society, and as a result
of Fate's death, the force field is removed, allowing the other heroes to
engage in combat.
Adam
defeats Sabbac with the aid of Hawkman wearing Fate's helmet, and the Justice
Society leaves amicably with him. After destroying the old throne and changing
his name to Black Adam, Adam accepts his new position as Kahndaq's protector.
