World Cup: Bayern and Man City are tied for first place with Barcelona in terms of club representation in Qatar

More Barcelona players are in Qatar than any other club has ever been at a World Cup final. An injury helps them, while Bayern suffers.

The teams sending the most players to the competition are listed below.

First, Barcelona (17

Before Alejandro Balde was picked up to replace Jose Gaya of Valencia, Barca had already beaten their record for representation at a World Cup finals. A single club has never sent more players to a World Cup.

Andreas Christensen, Eric Garcia, Gavi, Pedri, Ronald Araujo (Uruguay), Ferran Torres (Spain), Jordi Alba, Alejandro Balde, Ansu Fati, Sergio Busquets, and (Denmark),

Frenkie de Jong, Memphis Depay, Ousmane Dembele, Jules Kounde, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, and Marc-Andre ter Stegen are all Dutchmen (Germany).

=2) Munich, Bayern - 16 Had Sadio Mane not been forced to leave the Senegal team after needing knee surgery, Bayern would have equaled Barca's record. The team with the greatest representation in both the Germany and France squads is a Bundesliga powerhouse.

Dayot Upamecano, Benjamin Pavard, Kingsley Coman, Lucas Hernandez (France), Serge Gnabry, Thomas Muller, Jamal Musiala, Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich (Germany), Alphonso Davies, and Dayot Upamecano (Canada),

Josip Stanisic (Croatia), Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco), Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (Cameroon), and Matthijs de Light (Netherlands) =2) -16 Manchester City As the Premier League team with the most players traveling to Qatar, City is also the team with the most players in the England squad. With a glass of red in his hand, Pep Guardiola will be watching and praying that none of his players get hurt.

Joao Cancelo, Ruben Dias, Bernardo Silva (Portugal), Rodri, Aymeric Laporte (Spain), Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium), Ederson (Brazil), John Stones, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Kalvin Phillips (England), Ilkay Gundogan, and (Germany),

Julian Alvarez, Nathan Ake of the Netherlands, and Manuel Akanji of Switzerland (Argentina)

Al-Sadd (4): 15

The ninth-place team in the 12-team domestic league supplies half of the Qatari team. The entire 26-man roster for the hosts is drawn from the Qatar Stars League, with Al-Duhail, who finished third, having the second-best representation with six players.

Mohammed Waad, Salem Al Hajri, Mustafa Meshaal, Hassan Al Haydos, Akram Afif (Qatar), Andre Ayew (Ghana), Jung Woo-young, Saad Al Sheep, Meshaal Barsham, Pedro Miguel, Musaab Khidir, Tarek Salman, Boualem Khoukhi, Abdelkarim Hassan, Ali Asad, Mohammed (South Korea)

5) 14 for Manchester United Three United players are included in the teams for England, Portugal, and Brazil, albeit the number of United players in Portugal will decrease if they fire Cristiano Ronaldo mid-tournament, which they should do without a doubt.

Christian Eriksen (Denmark), Tyrell Malacia (Netherlands), Facundo Pellistri (Uruguay), Casemiro, Fred, Antony (Brazil), Lisandro Martinez, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot (Portugal), Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford (England), Raphael Varane (France) (Argentina)

Real Madrid (6), 13 Karim Benzema's forced exit from his first full practice with the defending champions has caused a lot of worry among the France team at the moment. Real presently have a larger presence in the squads of France and Brazil than Spain.

Eder Militao, Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo (Brazil), Luka Modric (Croatia), Antonio Rudiger (Germany), Federico Valverde (Uruguay), Karim Benzema, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni (France), Thibaut Courtois, Eden Hazard (Belgium), and Marco Asensio =7) Chelsea - 12

If Chelsea had not recently struggled with injuries, they would have been equal with Al-Sadd and higher on this list.

N'Golo Kante would not have played for France, but Ben Chilwell and Reece James would have almost surely represented England.

Christian Pulisic (USA), Kai Havertz (Germany), Matteo Kovacic (Croatia), Raheem Sterling (England), Conor Gallagher (England), Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly (Senegal), Cesar Azpilicueta (Spain), Thiago Silva (Brazil), Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling, Edouard Mendy, Hakim Ziggy (Switzerland)
