Real Madrid linked with the ‘New Modric’ from Napoli

Luka Modric will be remembered as one of the greatest players to ever wear the Real Madrid jersey. He is, however, 37 years old, and he will need to be replaced in the middle of the park sooner or later. However, given the Croatian's current form, it would not be surprising if he continues to play at the highest level until he is 40.

Carlo Ancelotti appears to be interested in a player who was dubbed the "new Modric" during his early career.

This season, Napoli has arguably been the best team in Europe. Not only did they win their Champions League group, but they also won Serie A.When asked about Real Madrid's alleged interest in Lobotka, Italian journalist Valter De Maggio said, according to Mundo Deportivo:

"Ancelotti wants Lobotka at Real Madrid, according to a little bird."

Real Madrid has been linked with the 'new Modric,' a midfielder.

Real Madrid currently has one of the best midfields in Europe, but it may need to be refreshed in the near future.Modric, as previously stated, is 37 years old. Toni Kroos may decide to hang up his boots at the end of the season, according to reports. Dani Ceballos, whose contract expires in the summer of 2023, could also leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

It is safe to say that Lobotka has made his mark at Napoli, and some reports have suggested that he is on the verge of extending his contract with the Italian club. Of course, if that happens, any move to Real Madrid will be more difficult to pull off. The Slovakian international's current contract expires in the summer of 2025.
