According to a recent report, Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech wants to leave the West London club next year. It has been reported that AC Milan are interested in luring the Moroccan international away from the Blues.
Ziyech's Difficult West London Campaign
Ziyech is having a frustrating season at Stamford Bridge, having struggled to secure enough playing time for the West London club in recent months. The 29-year-old has only played nine games for Chelsea this season and has yet to score or create a goal.
The Moroccan sensation has made the majority of his appearances off the bench, which explains why he only averages 1.4 tackles, 0.8 key passes, and 0.8 dribbles per game in the Premier League. He had done well in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 76.7% in the English first division.
Ziyech is under contract at Stamford Bridge until the summer of 2025. As a result, Chelsea are not in a rush to offload the Moroccan wing wizard unless they receive a good offer during the January transfer window or at the end of the season.
Should Chelsea Head Coach Graham Potter let Ziyech go next season?
Ziyech is still a good ball dribbler with the vision to create some decent chances for others around him. When he is confident on the field, he can even strike the ball with venom and accuracy from long range. The Dronten native is primarily an attacking midfielder, but he can also play as a right winger or box-to-box midfielder if his manager so requests.
Ziyech, on the other hand, is currently surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, having fallen behind Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount in Chelsea head coach Graham Potter's pecking order.
At 29, the Morocco international is in his prime and needs to make a change of scenery next year if he wants to earn more playing opportunities and get his career back on track. As a result, it makes sense for the Blues to let Ziyech go in January or at the end of the season.
Chelsea would be better off using the proceeds from his potential sale to bolster other areas of their match-day squad.

Man Utd reject discusses bargain January transfer chances as Arsenal links gather serious pace
Out-of-favour Memphis Depay, the Barcelona forward, has opened up about his future, with transfer rumors linking him to Arsenal.
The Dutch forward joined Barcelona in the summer of 2021 but quickly fell out of favor.
He has missed several matches due to injuries during his time at Barcelona, and the Spanish club is ready to let him go. Last season, he scored 12 league goals in 20 starts and eight substitute appearances.
He was signed on a free transfer for a two-year contract in 2021. As a result, his contract with Barcelona will expire in the summer of 2023.Since Xavi's arrival, Depay's chances of breaking into the first team have been slim. With a preferred front three of Ferran Torres, Robert Lewandowski, and Ousmane Dembele, there hasn't been room for Depay to fit in. Memphis' chances appear bleak with Raphinha also in the mix.
After a failed move to Manchester United, Depay did well to rebuild his career with Lyon in Ligue 1. He scored 76 goals in 178 appearances for France.
Depay, who is 28 years old, should be playing regular first-team football. His next move will determine his game time and what happens next.
