The Persico Zagato 100.2, an all-electric "hyperboat" that is equal parts beauty and performance, was designed by the renowned automotive design house
The elegant watercraft, which was shown off in a video preview at Zagato's headquarters in Milan, is powered by a lithium-ion DeepSpeed electric propulsion system. The shipyard claims that the Zagato 100.2 should be able to cruise at nearly 31 mph and reach a top speed of more than 50 mph. However, no power figures are provided.
According to Persico Marine, the electric boat will weigh approximately 5,511 pounds, which is a relatively low number considering that it includes substantial batteries. The Zagato 100.2's construction will make use of cutting-edge composite materials to keep its weight to a minimum.
Although Persico Marine doesn't say how the boat recharges its batteries, you should probably charge it alongside your megayacht. In terms of design, it is absolutely stunning and brings to mind the renowned Riva Aquarama speedboat as well as the high society of the 1960s.
Lucky purchasers will be able to personalize the Zagato 100.2 by selecting one of nine limited-edition examples. The boatmaker guarantees exclusivity by stating that the colors and finishes selected by each individual customer will not be replicated.
In some ways, it resembles the Rimac Nevera as an ocean-going vessel: rapid, electric, gorgeous, and extremely exclusive.
"The project began with a common idea: the notion that the boat ought to be a memorabilia item," Andrea Zagato, CEO of the coachbuilder that is responsible for iconic vehicles like the Aston Martin V8 Zagato and DB4 GT Zagato, said. Naturally, this is not the first time that the leisure marine industry and the automotive industry have collaborated. The Tecnomar for the Lamborghini 63 is only going to be produced in 63 pieces. The yacht moves quickly thanks to the twin V12 engines that produce 4,000 horsepower.Although it is impressive, it lacks the Zagato's charm and sophisticated opulence.
On the other hand, the customers for these boats are very different from one another. The most recent creation from Perciso Marine will be useful in a variety of settings, including lakes and coastal waters. The Zagato 100.2's electric setup gives it another advantage in a situation where endothermic engines are prohibited at many boating destinations. In other marinas, Lamborghinis must set anchor.
Pricing has not been announced yet, but the old saying goes that if you have to ask, you probably can't afford it.
