The 23-year-old French forward has started the World Cup in spectacular fashion, scoring three goals in the first two games against Australia and Denmark, respectively.

Kylian Mbappe etched his name in history and demonstrated why he is unquestionably the best player in this World Cup.

Mbappe scored twice, making France the first team to reach the knockout stages, and the reigning champions will be difficult to stop.Mbappe, the Paris Saint-Germain star, is still only 23 years old, but he already has 31 goals for his country, including 14 in his last 12 games for France, demonstrating that he is the most in-form player in Qatar. Mbappe is also only the second player, after Pele, to have scored seven World Cup goals before the age of 24, and if he continues at this rate, he will break every record in sight. Mbappe turns 24 two days after the World Cup final, which is ominous.

Mbappe's pace, goals, and brilliance propelled France to glory four years ago, and despite a slew of injuries, Les Bleus appear to have the best squad. And in Mbappe, they have a striker who can do it all.Despite the fact that Denmark had beaten France in their previous two Nations League meetings earlier this year, Mbappe rises to the occasion when the stakes are high.

"He is an exceptional player, the ability to be decisive, stand out from the crowd, and make the difference," France manager Didier Deschamps said."Once again, he is an exceptional player on an exceptional team that works well together." He is a boss. For me, there are three types of leaders: physical leaders, mental leaders, and Kylian, who is like a steam train on the pitch, getting the crowd going and giving his all on the pitch."We have a great pool of players; they may not all have the same experience as some of the players we're missing, but we have a high-quality squad with a great mentality."

"We were close to getting a great result after going down 1-0, because we came back to 1-1 and had two great chances to go ahead," Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand said of his team's final Group match against Australia. We are disappointed, but we will return for our final on Wednesday."It was supposed to be Olivier Giroud's chance to become France's all-time leading scorer (he is currently tied with Thierry Henry), but Mbappe stole the show as usual.

France had chances, but it took until the 61st minute for Mbappe to score after a good combination with Theo Hernandez. Mbappe then burst into the box and fired a low shot into the net to give France the lead.

Christian Eriksen's corner was flicked on by Joachim Andersen, and Barcelona's former Chelsea defender Andreas Christensen powered home a header after only seven minutes.France, on the other hand, deserved to win after substitute Kingsley Coman started a move, Antoine Griezmann capped a fantastic performance by putting over a teasing cross, and the ball went in off Mbappe's knee at the back post.
