Marcus Rashford answers to England's detractors following a lackluster draw with the United States

Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United and England, defended his teammates, saying it was impossible to expect them to consistently perform at the same high level as they did against Iran.

Speaking before England's crucial Group B match against Wales, Rashford defended the team's record in the face of rising criticism over what many see as a failure to maximize the squad's wealth of attacking skill.

At his press conference, the forward stressed to the media that winning in football required more than just playing your best; it also required the ability to use your skills when you weren't at your best.

We want to play our best football as players at all times. "You have to learn to win games when you're not playing well because it's not reasonable to believe you're always going to be the greatest squad or the best individual," said one football player.

"We don't like how we played in the last game; we know we can do better, but at the same time, we're in a good position within the group," he continued.

Teams seldom triumph in all three contests. We'll be off to a strong start if we can defeat Wales.

Rashford continued by saying that, after several years marred by niggling injuries, he is now once again enjoying playing football.

"I'm glad to be having fun with my football." I don't have any aches or pains or injuries. I can only be appreciative of that. After being away for so long, it's been fantastic for me to see the guys again,' he said.

"I feel closer now than I did a year or 18 months ago," you say. Although I still have a ways to go, I'm happy with the progress I've already made.

Although a lot of it is related to my wounds, it all boils down to happiness. Following the surgery, I've finally been able to put everything behind me.

Rashford, who played for England for the first time since missing a penalty in the European Championship final last year, decried the abuse he, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka endured.

He stated, "It's not nice for you to experience racism personally, but it's not good to have anybody experience it."

Therefore, it is more of a disappointment. You find it disappointing that people have those opinions.

"In part, because you don't think that way about anyone else, regardless of their color or religion," she said. Beyond the fact that they express them, it's more about the dissatisfaction that people harbor in these thoughts.
