SuperSport has apologized unequivocally for a viral video in which the presenter insulted soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo with a strong swear word.
In its defense, the channel stated that the video was a rehearsal and was not intended for broadcast.
The P word became popular on social media shortly after the video went viral.
During the World Cup coverage show SuperPicks, the presenter is asked whether she wants to see Argentina's Lionel Messi or Ronaldo in the finals in Qatar.
"Ronaldo is a P$%S, and I'm not going to support him," she says.
"Can we get away with that?" asks a surprised co-presenter.She was referring to the recent drama surrounding the veteran soccer player. Ronaldo abruptly left Manchester United earlier this month following his contentious interview with Piers Morgan.
The Portuguese striker accused the club of forcing him out and of betraying him. He and the club then agreed to a mutual separation.

Director Oliver Kahn stated that the club considered the option but will not pursue Ronaldo because he does not fit into their plans.
"I can rule out a move for Ronaldo," he told Sky Sports. We thought about it, and we all love Ronaldo, but strategy is different.
"We have a clear idea, a philosophy, about how our squad should be assembled.
