With Argentina's Lionel Messi and Julian Alvarez scoring yesterday to secure their country's place in the quarter-finals, France's Kylian Mbappe and Giroud, as well as Poland's Robert Lewandowski, were hoping to increase their chances of winning the award.
This match between France and Poland began with a goal by Giroud in the 44th minute, which gave France the lead and also made Giroud the top scorer in the history of the France men's football team. Mbappe added two goals to France's lead in the second half, securing first place in the golden boot race. Lewandowski, on the other hand, was able to exit the competition with a goal late in the game.

Santos is a midfielder who is only 18 years old, but he has already made an impression for the Vasco da Gama senior team, who are currently playing in Brazil's second division.
Santos' performances appear to have piqued the interest of Europe's top clubs. In addition to Chelsea and Real Madrid, PSG, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are said to be interested in the player.
It is estimated that signing him from Vasco da Gama would cost around €15 million. And, while Stamford Bridge appears to be his most likely destination, we'll have to wait and see if that changes.
