Not less than forty one goalkeepers have featured in the 2022 World Cup. A closer look reveals that only one of them has kept three clean sheets prior to the quarter finals. Who is this admirable goalkeeper?

Pickford was part of Gareth Southgate's squad that fired blank shots against the United States of America on November 25. He kept the Americans from scoring and made a couple of recoveries in the process. Meanwhile, in his first game, the Englishman gave up two second-half goals. This did not prevent him from rising to the top of the list of goalkeepers with clean sheets in subsequent games. With three clean sheets in four games, he has a 75% record in the current tournament.
It is worth noting that the two-time Everton player of the year only managed one clean sheet in seven games during the 2018 season.
