Madrid have turned their attention to Manchester United's 18-year-old forward Alejandro Gernacho, according to Transfer News Live's official Twitter post. After breaking into the Red Devils squad this season, the Argentine wonderkid is regarded as one of the Premier League's hottest prospects.United are keen to tie him down to new terms due to his excellent form, with it being suggested that they could increase his £5k per week salary. However, with Real Madrid reportedly interested in signing him, this could become more difficult. According to the outlet, Madrid is keeping an eye on his contract situation because they see him as a future star.

‘IT’S TOO MUCH’: PAUL MERSON CLAIMS £100K-A-WEEK ARSENAL PLAYER CANNOT MUSTARD IN FIRST XI
Following the injury to Gabriel Jesus, Paul Merson has warned Arsenal that Eddie Nketiah is not good enough to lead the forward line.
Following knee surgery this week, the Brazil international has been sidelined until around March [Sky Sports].
It's a huge blow for Arsenal and their Premier League title hopes, with Mikel Arteta's side leading the table heading into Christmas.
The good news is that a transfer window is right around the corner.Nketiah has failed to score in 12 Premier League appearances this season.
And the former Arsenal midfielder does not believe Nketiah, who earns £100,000 per week at the Emirates [Sun], can be trusted to succeed as a number nine up front.
"Eddie Nketiah can't keep it up, no disrespect to the kid," he told The Express. He can't, of course. It's asking too much. He's great as a substitute, but they need to find a focal point."
Merson is dead on in this one.Nketiah is a talented footballer, but Jesus is a thousand miles ahead of him.
He broke into the first team near the end of last season and scored some important goals, but the pressure will be far greater this time.
Arsenal would be remiss if they did not sign a replacement for Jesus during the January transfer window.
This Gabriel Jesus injury could cost the North Londoners a lot of money, but it could also save their title bid if they make the right decision next month.
