Neymar has stated that he 'can't guarantee' that he will continue to play for Brazil after their World Cup exit to Croatia.

Brazil and Neymar were eliminated from the World Cup earlier on Friday, with Croatia defeating them on penalties.

For the second consecutive tournament, the South Americans fail to advance beyond the quarterfinals.

Neymar, now 30, has questioned his international future. In a post-loss press conference, he stated, "I am not closing any doors on the national team, but I am also not guaranteeing 100% that I will return."

"I need to think about this a little more, about what is best for me and the national team."

Neymar has become a talismanic figure for Brazil since making his senior debut in 2010, but he has yet to taste World Cup success.

His goal against Croatia brought him level with Pele in terms of national team goals, but it wasn't enough.Neymar's international future is uncertain, but his domestic future is certain. When Ligue 1 resumes after the World Cup, he'll be back for PSG. On December 28, Paris will welcome Strasbourg.

”I want Ronaldo to leave the world cup and come back home” says his sister Aveiro

Cristiano Ronaldo's sister, Katia Aveiro, begged her brother to leave Portugal's 2022 shoppingmode FIFA World Cup squad in Qatar and return home after being substituted against Switzerland.

Aveiro expressed this in a lengthy, tearful message posted on her Instagram page on Thursday.

Remember that Portugal's head coach, Fernando Santos, left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the starting lineup in their round-of-16 victory over Switzerland?

Aveiro admitted on Instagram that, while she was happy for Portugal, she couldn't ignore the abuse Ronaldo was receiving in his home country."I'm delighted Portugal won," she said. (I've seen Portugal win so many times.) However, this doesn't change the fact that a significant portion of the Portuguese population is quite small. And what is wrong is that they continue to curse, take offense, and express gratitude."

"Terrible, but too sad, given what I've read and heard—not in Qatar, but in my and his countries." And I desired it."

"I truly wanted [Ronaldo] to come home, leave the national team, and sit next to us, so we could hug him and reassure him that everything is fine, remind him of his victories, and show him where he was born.""I begged him not to go there because we had already been through so much pain."

Ronaldo, 37, will now be expected to start Portugal's quarterfinal match against Morocco on Saturday.
