Porsche EVs will undoubtedly have a common thread.
We now have photos of the SUV's entire interior after months of following the Porsche Macan EV around Europe. or, at the very least, the majority of the interior before a debut. The drivers of the Macan EV were putting it through a few hot laps on the Nurburgring, which was captured by our spies.
On the inside, we can see that a lot of Taycan influence is present. We already know that some of the steering wheel's components, like the rotary dial, were taken from the Taycan. The interior has been shown to us before, as you can see below, and aside from the image quality, not much has changed. It appears that the electrified Macan will include the Sport Chrono pack, just like so many other Porsche models before it. The layout of the other dash components appears to be very similar to that of the Taycan once more. As a result, there are three screens: one for the driver, one for the infotainment system, and one for the climate controls below the knees of the driver. Similar to the Taycan, we could also see a fourth seat for the passenger.
Unlike the 911, which has always had a keyhole-shaped power button, Porsche appears to have gone with a left-facing one. The frameless screen in the dash is also a nice touch. We haven't seen any evidence of a device attached to the steering column, but it appears to be there. This could be anything, given the prototype's early construction. It could be for testing, or it could be a new Porsche feature that we haven't seen yet. We don't even have much of a rumor about this little instrument right now.
When it arrives, the Porsche Macan EV will have approximately 600 horsepower. It will, like the Taycan, use Porsche's 800v architecture for fast charging, which is said to take 25 minutes to go from 5% to 80%. The car's launch in 2024 is still on schedule, despite software-related delays.
