Dad of Man City star Erling Haaland makes a possible leave date and location suggestion
To compete for titles across Europe, Alf-Inge Haaland has hinted that his son might leave Manchester City in three years.
Erling Haaland has been in outstanding form for the Blues ever since moving from Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad Stadium in the summer. The Norwegian striker recorded a record 23 goals for City in only 18 games in all competitions before the World Cup break.
Pep Guardiola will be hoping that Haaland, 22, can aid his team to victory in all 38 Premier League games as he is presently on track to break Mohamed Salah's record for the most goals scored in a single season.
According to Haaland's father, who also played for City, his son might depart the Etihad sooner than City supporters would want.
The 50-year-old confessed to France Football (via DAZN) that his kid may stay until the end of his career, but a move away would not bother him either. Erling is quite pleased with City, and we're talking about a very large club, so he could stay there for 15 years, the man stated.
But from what I gather, he wants to prove that he can succeed in any of the major leagues. He spent 2.5 years in Germany, and he might do something similar in the future.
Erling is capable of being a winner in any team, so moving to Italy, Spain, or France after spending three years in the Premier League is a possibility, although it isn't certain.
Following Norway's inability to earn a spot in the World Cup, Haaland has had time to rest over the past month. Before making his comeback to competitive action on Thursday, December 22 when City visits Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, he's certain to play on Saturday when the Blues play Girona in a friendly.
